Pegasus nest

Once I did some greyscales for :icoantique-unicorn: and recently I found out that I never submitted this one - one I really liked from the very beginning

 I decided to not submit it simply as a black and white as the other ones (you may see here aomori.deviantart.com/art/Unic…) but to try and colour it by myself. I actually never work like that, with shadows, highlight and base colour on separate layers and it was really awkward to change my habits... but after few minutes I got so much fun with this This way of separating shadows from the base colour gave me an opportunity to play with colours with such an ease. In the end I added few strictly painterly layers above the others to add final touches here and there but still the result is very different than my other artworks. At least I feel so. I hope you'll find it interesting to look at <3
