Hello! I am Monika and I live in Poland (yes, this not-so-well-known country over the Baltic sea =])

I like to draw since I remember but I am also a mother which takes a lot of my time. I love fantasy, animals (I have two kitties), horse-back riding and nature in all her beauty. I'm always open for meeting new people and any suggestions about my art, so if you ever need something from me simply send me a note I'll try to answer as soon as I find a time.

You may be asking about my email address:

All characters (c) :icondaresta:

This time I am not submitting this to my sketches folder, because I think it is kinda interesting compilation of four very different characters :aww:

I can also share with you a little sketchy picture showing designing of the last girl: fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/201…

It is a 1,5 - 2 hour exercise that I really enjoyed! I lost a track of time :) I wanted to warm myself up and try some different style than I usually do. Sure a lot could be done there but I think I learned a lot. Gosh, this woman really has a long neck, doesn't she? :D

Commission information | Art usage | Horse art RPG | FAQ - read before you ask

Hello there!

I would like to write a journal entry that might be a good 'opening' on my profile - the last one surely is not -  and to share with you some small plans I have for art-future of mine.

So, let's begin. Since now I am close to the the expected date when I'll meet my second baby I won't take any new commissions. I was planning that I will finish those I had somewhere in December, not in February! Thank you all for the patience with me  Expected birthrate is somewhere in the middle of the march so just  a month left! and the doctor is still not sure if it is going to be a boy or a girl. it is like 70% for a boy but I still have to think about two names and I can't made up my mind)

In the nearest days I will submit to the gallery few old artworks I was about to show you million of times and I will slowly continue working with Daresta who always has something for me that needs to be done :aww:

Oh and I have few random sketches from Dragon Age: Inquisition, I may redo one of the info full artwork? Or I will just concentrate on playing, because I'd love to finish the game while I still have some time left :giggle:

  • Mood: Big Grin
  • Listening to: Escaflowne soundtrack
  • Reading: Karin Slaughter
  • Watching: Vikings!
  • Playing: LoL
  • Drinking: tea with a lot of lemon
Dark Shadow by Aomori
Dark Shadow
Commission for :iconjethero13:

Winter scene opened this bath of my commissions and is also on the final one, funny coincidence :aww:  Though here and there I archived two totally different atmospheres (actually there appeared quite a few winter scenes in my gallery recently, each one veeery different than previous, I am proud of myself :la:)

Drachen is rather a gloomy character (hey, not everyone would feel good with a skull on their head!) and the surrounding was a snow blizzard, so I had quite limited choice of colours and possibilities. I only added a tiny bit of faint turquoise to the forest around character, all rest of the image is rather monochromatic, what made me feel that this drawing is lie more ...mature? Idk how to describe it. I hope you'll like this more dark face of my art, enjoy!
